Police Volunteers

Bridging the oft perceived divide between the NYPD and the neighborhood residents served is crucial to PAL’s mission and to all of our programs.

As members of the law enforcement community, it is vital for our kids and for our City that you have the opportunity to regularly interact with youth, represent the NYPD, and serve as positive role models for children in the community.

By coaching in PAL Sports Leagues, playing on Cops & Kids teams, and volunteering at PAL Centers during after-school hours, you can form lasting, meaningful relationships with youth, serve as positive influences, and make our communities safer.

PAL depends heavily on your involvement in all our programs.  We recruit from within the ranks of the NYPD to assist with programs for New York City Youth in all five boroughs.

Members of law enforcement volunteer with a variety of PAL initiatives, including:

  • Mentoring programs

  • Coaching opportunities

  • Cops and Kids Sports Programs

  • Junior Police Club

  • Operation Conversation, Cops, and Kids
